Mobile Oil Service in Essex
Fresh oil and a new filter are the simplest protection your engine gets. We do the oil change at your home or workplace across Essex and East London, using the grade your manufacturer specifies.

What engine oil does and why it wears out
Oil keeps moving metal parts from touching, carries heat away from the pistons and turbo, and holds soot and combustion by-products in suspension until the filter can trap them. It doesn’t last forever. Heat breaks it down, additives get used up, and fuel and moisture find their way in.
Short trips are harder on oil than motorway miles, because the engine rarely gets hot enough to drive that moisture off. Plenty of local driving around town can mean your oil is working harder than the mileage suggests.
Grade matters as much as freshness. Your handbook lists a viscosity, such as 5W-30, and a specification. Many diesels with a particulate filter need a low-ash oil, and using the wrong type can shorten the life of that filter. The right oil, at the right level, costs little compared with a turbo or engine damaged by neglect.
Why book an oil service with us
Correct oil for your engine
We check the grade and specification for your car rather than using one oil for everything.
Fresh filter every time
A new filter goes on with the oil, so clean oil stays clean.
Done while you work
Your car is seen on the driveway or in the car park while you get on.
What happens during an oil service
- 01
Confirm the spec
We check the oil grade and capacity for your engine, and whether the car needs an undertray removed for access.
- 02
Drain the old oil
The engine is warmed first so the oil flows freely, then drained from the sump plug with a new washer fitted.
- 03
Change the filter
The old filter comes off, the seal face is checked, and a new filter goes on tightened to the correct setting.
- 04
Refill and check
We fill to the right level, run the engine, look for leaks, recheck the dipstick and reset the reminder where possible.
When to contact a mechanic
Follow the mileage or time interval in your service book, whichever comes first, and treat that as the longest gap rather than a target if the car does mostly short trips.
Check the level on your dipstick now and then. An engine using more oil than it used to, or losing it onto the driveway, is worth looking at before the level gets low. Contact us if the level is dropping quickly or you don’t know when the oil was last changed.
If the red oil pressure light comes on while driving, stop as soon as it is safe and switch off, because running on with low pressure can destroy an engine.
An oil change that comes to your driveway
An oil service is a tidy job for a home visit, and it saves you losing a morning or finding a lift back from a garage. A flat surface matters more than you might think, since a true dipstick reading needs a level car. We work across Essex, including Billericay and Upminster on the Essex border. Low cars with full undertrays may need more access, and some car parks won’t allow it. All work is subject to the suitability of the job and location.

Common questions
How often should I change my engine oil?
Use the interval your manufacturer gives in the service book or on the dash, based on miles or time. Some cars run long-life schedules, while others need oil more often. If your driving is mostly short trips, heavy traffic or towing, changing it a little sooner is sensible.
What is the difference between an oil service and a full service?
An oil service covers the engine oil and filter, plus a look at the level and for leaks. A full service goes much further, with more filters, fluid levels, brakes, tyres, lights and other wear items checked. If the car is due a full service, book that one instead.
What oil will you put in my car?
We use oil that meets the viscosity and specification your manufacturer lists for your engine. That matters most on turbocharged cars and diesels with particulate filters. If you have a preference or a handbook to hand, tell us when you get in touch and we will quote for it.
